Terms of Use

Using PlateBook
You must be 13 or older. You are responsible for what you post. Keep it honest and about the food: no harassment, hate, sexual content, spam, impersonation, other people’s private information, or content you don’t have the right to share. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You own what you post. You give us the license needed to store it, show it to the people you choose, and show shared menu data (dish names, categories, prices) to other users. Reviews shared with followers or by link are visible to those people; private notes are never shown to anyone else.
Reporting and blocking
Every review, photo and profile can be reported from the app, and any person can be blocked. We review reports and act on them, typically within a week.
Restaurant and menu data
Menus are crowdsourced and read from photos by AI; prices and names can be wrong. Restaurant details come from map data providers and may be out of date. None of it is a recommendation or a guarantee.
No warranty
PlateBook is provided “as is”, free of charge. We do our best to keep it running and to back up your data, but we are not liable for lost data, downtime or anything that follows from using the app, to the extent the law allows.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
